Is psychoanalytic therapy only for deep or long-term issues?
Not at all. While psychoanalytic therapy can be especially helpful for difficulties that feel repetitive or long-standing—like finding yourself in similar relationship patterns, struggling with chronic anxiety or sadness, or feeling disconnected from who you are—it’s not limited to that.
Many people begin therapy simply because something doesn’t feel right. You might feel stuck, uncertain about what you want, or unable to make sense of what’s happening inside you. No reason is too small or too vague to start.
Psychoanalytic work isn’t about quick fixes. It’s about creating space to explore what lies beneath the surface—those unspoken feelings or patterns that quietly shape our lives. In that process, deeper and more lasting changes can take root.
